Coffee Poached Pears Recipe β A Decadent Vegan Dessert
Peel the pears, cut them in half, and scoop out the core carefully.
In a large saucepan, combine water and brown sugar. Bring to a boil, then reduce to low heat. Add Moccona Classic Dark Roast, cinnamon stick, vanilla bean, and rum (if using). Stir well.
Add pear halves to the saucepan, then cover them with a circle of baking paper. Simmer for 10β12 minutes until tender when pierced. Remove pears and place in a heat-proof bowl.
Increase heat to medium-high and simmer syrup for 10β15 minutes until reduced by half. Pour the syrup over the pears.
Serve with crumbled amaretti biscuits and a drizzle of coffee syrup. Optionally, top with cream, yoghurt, or ice cream.

You can substitute vanilla bean with 1 tsp vanilla paste or extract.

Not bad for an instant coffee but not the best tasting one either.
I have kept ordering premium instant coffees available on amazon as I love tasting them and to be honest, moccona isn't better than a lot of other coffee that I've tried. so far the most repeated coffee that I've bought has been davidoff no. 57 espresso and that was my most favourite one. however, due to boredom of drinking the same flavor everyday and prices going higher, I tried new brands like Nescafe Black Roast, Azero, Moccona and Davidoff's Brazillian coffee. Moccona is not bad but I was expecting it to be better than the rest which it's clearly not. one difference is noticably present, which is that the aftertaste is cleaner than the other coffee...not sure if it's a good thing or not. I hope this review helps you all make your choice better. I'll try Jacob's, Ily and other coffees soon and see if I find something good there.
